1.1. Introduction

By downloading or using WeAreLazy, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before using the app.

1.2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use WeAreLazy. If you are under 16 and located in the European Union, you confirm that a parent or guardian has consented to your use of the app and to the processing of your personal data.

1.3. Purpose of the App

WeAreLazy is designed for entertainment purposes. It calculates a fictional currency called "LazyMoney" based on user-provided salary and work schedule data. LazyMoney has no real monetary value and cannot be exchanged for goods, services, or currency. Any resemblance to actual productivity is purely coincidental.

1.4. In-App Purchases

WeAreLazy is entirely free to use. The app offers optional tips ("Tip Jar") as in-app purchases to support development. Tips are voluntary, non-refundable, and do not unlock any additional features or content. You get nothing in return, except our eternal gratitude and a warm fuzzy feeling.

1.5. User Accounts & Authentication

You may create an account using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Each account is personal and non-transferable.

1.6. User Responsibilities

You agree to use the app in a way that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use and enjoyment of the app. You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to access it through unauthorized means, or use automated systems to interact with it.

1.7. Limitation of Liability

WeAreLazy is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We cannot be held responsible for any direct or indirect damage resulting from the use of the application. We do not encourage actual negligence at your workplace; the app is a humorous tool to track downtime. What you do with your newfound awareness of time is entirely up to you.

1.8. Modifications

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Privacy Policy

2.1. Data Controller

2.2. Data We Collect

To provide our services, we collect the following data:

• Identity & Contact: Email address, username, birth date.
• Professional Data: Job title, industry, country (manually entered by you), monthly salary, work schedule.
• Usage Data: Session start/end times, session durations, LazyMoney earnings, app preferences.
• Device Data: Device model, OS version, push notification tokens.
• Social Data: List of friends within the app (if you choose to connect with other users).

We do not collect GPS or location data. Your country is only known because you told us.

2.3. Purpose of Processing

We process your data to:

• Create and manage your user account.
• Calculate statistics and LazyMoney (core app feature).
• Enable social features (friend leaderboards).
• Send push notifications (reminders, motivational messages).
• Generate anonymized, aggregated statistics.

2.4. Legal Basis (GDPR)

• Contract performance: Account management, core features.
• Legitimate interest: Service improvement, anonymized statistics.
• Consent: Push notifications, optional social features.

2.5. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary. Detailed session history is automatically anonymized and aggregated after a rolling period of 12 months. Your lifetime totals remain associated with your account until deletion. Upon account deletion, your personal data is removed and any remaining usage data is permanently anonymized so that it can no longer be linked to you.

2.6. Third-Party Services & Data Transfers

We use the following trusted third-party service providers:

• OVH SAS (Hosting): Your data is stored on servers located in France/EU. OVH SAS, 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France.
• Google (Authentication): If you use Google Sign-In, Google processes authentication tokens only. Google's privacy policy applies to their authentication service.
• Apple (Authentication): If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple processes authentication tokens only. Apple's privacy policy applies to their authentication service.
• OneSignal (Push Notifications): Device tokens are transferred to OneSignal, Inc. (USA) to deliver push notifications. This transfer is safeguarded by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure GDPR compliance. OneSignal receives only technical identifiers required for delivery, not user profiles.

2.7. User Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights:

• Right of Access: Request a copy of your personal data (available in-app via Preferences > Export My Data, or by contacting us).
• Right to Erasure: Delete your account and all associated data permanently (available in-app via Profile > Delete Account, or by contacting us).
• Right to Rectification: Update your personal information in your Profile settings.
• Right to Object: Opt out of push notifications at any time via your device settings.
• Right to Data Portability: Receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.
• Right to Lodge a Complaint: You may contact the French data protection authority (CNIL) at cnil.fr.

2.8. Cookies & Tracking

The WeAreLazy website does not use any cookies or JavaScript tracking. Website traffic statistics are generated solely from standard server access logs processed by our hosting provider, OVH SAS, in France. No personal data is collected for analytics purposes, and no data is transferred outside the European Union. The iOS app does not use any analytics or advertising SDKs.

2.9. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure credential storage, and access controls.
